Love

Two Words That Changed My Life

A little over a month ago, I came to a realization about myself.  I wanted to show up more fully and completely in my life.  I was in the middle of a slew of projects, all with wonderful beginnings, all partially finished.  I wanted to have a higher level of Trust.  I wanted to experience more Miracles.  And most of all I wanted to go to bed at night and know I gave it my All.

I was frustrated, a bit angry with a lack luster (at best) about life.  Where had I gone, I wondered.  Where did my usual enthusiasm, exuberant Joy, and love for life go?  Now, I now was in a muster of should have’s, what if’s, and maybe’s.
I decided to do something about it.  This muster was an unhappy place to live.  Plus it was contradictory to who I AM, and the message I have to share.  I was im-ing with a friend and sharing my frustration.  Somehow from everything I said, he said, “Oh, you want to be more consistent.”  What?  Did it sound like I said that?

Gotta Love simplicity.

Well!!  Serendipitously, it was the Eve of Lent and I planned to do some type of Fast.  Add to that a wonderful group of supportive friends, and I was ready to go.

So, In addition to giving up meat (again), I started a 40 Day Journey titled Born Out Of Frustration.  And everyday for the last now 35 days I’ve written a daily email, very vulnerable about Life.  It also included the tools, exercises, and videos I use to BE in my Yes.  I’ll be honest it was a tough month, talk about Growing Pains.  Ugh!  But I had to do it.

Each day had it’s own topic varying from “What am I Avoiding, Being with my Fears, to My Inner Gangsta, and Being in My Goddess, even Being with Men.  I will say it definitely got lighter over the month, as the “What can We Learn from Tights” article, being one. It just came out that way!
In the end, what I learned most is I realized what makes and keeps life really simple lies in two words.  Two words were the answers to all of my problems.

They whispered in my ear.  Honor Thyself.

Honor Thyself.  It's that simple.

Honor your word and follow through.  When you say you are going to do something, do it.  This goes a long way and deepens relationships and trust.

Honor your resources.

Whether they are money, time; honor them.  Use them with in way that honors you.
Honor your gifts and talents, and share them with the world.  Hiding is for the Ego.  Connect to your HIgher Self and they'll be no need to hide or fear.

Honor your body.

Notice what you consume and how it impacts you, use fasting to get clear, light and Be Light.

Honor your dreams and move towards them each day, and trust that you are worthy.

Honor your feelings, when you're mad be mad, when you're hurt feel the pain.  Honor the emotion, work to move pass it and honor the place you are in.

Honor your heart.

Be honest with yourself and others about your feelings.  Honor your heart and choose who you let in wisely.  Always love and keep your heart safe.  No need to wear it on your sleeve.

As we glide into the final 4 days, I’d like to thank my Sister Friends for being with me, holding me accountable, and sharing from their hearts with me.  I am so humbled, and grateful, and pretty darn lucky to have you Phenomenal Ladies in my Life.

Take a look at this with me.

Truly, like real-deal take an honest look at the ways you honor yourself and the ways you don’t.  No judgment, just be aware.  Awareness is half the battle…If not more.

XOXO,
TS
