DailyJems: Anchor the Lesson

Life is full of lessons.  Tough times, seeming mistakes or failures, relationships, finding your voice, vulnerability, whatever the Edge is for you right now, it is most rewarding when you can anchor the lesson. You're going to learn it anyway. And anchoring it truly allows you to take back any Power you may have given away to propel you forward.

Then mistakes, failures, 'what was I thinking' moments become trampolines to your next level of growth. Whatever you're going through right now, it's your Edge.  Where there is for you to grow and move beyond, to become more of yourself.

In anchoring the lesson, take a step back.  Center yourself, through deep breathing or meditating, whatever works for you.  And ask three questions:

1) What is there for me to get here?  It could be something you are resisting, a quality you want to foster, that's being pushed to grow, or a simple awareness that you are enough.

2) What am I making this mean, and what insecurities or fears are being triggered?  In alignment with the first question around what is being called forth.  This helps to bring awareness to the source of your frustration, a story you created or a limiting belief you've acepted as a fact.

3)  What have I (or am I) learning, gaining, edging in this experience?  What else? What else? What else? Dig deep here.  This is one of my favorite questions.  It shifts the energy from 'poor me' to gratitude and personal empowerment.  Try it!

Ask what else, again and again, until it IS uncomfortable and then go further.  The deeper you go the deeper the lesson, you unfold.  Watch the release in moving pass uncomfortable.

This is a simple process that can change your life.  Take 5 minutes and do it…Now! ;)

Let me know how it goes.
